What kind of worm is it? Do you have a screenshot of the nefarious worm?
You realize once cooked up properly, worms are a good source of protein. 😉
Welcome aboard Gabriela. Btw, don't take anything too seriously around here but we would like to see the offending worm.

You are eating chorizo. This is akin to asking what kind of pork stays red when cooked at the Chinese restaurant. Just eat and dont wonder where the family of coons that used to live in the tree went.
It's boring, and your lack of creativity knows no bounds.
You found a worm in grocery meat? DON'T EAT ITt!! There are species of parasitic worms that can kill you, or make you seriously ill if you consume any larva or eggs from it. If it were me, I'd be reporting it to the FDA or health department.
Considering what goes into chorizo (or any other sausage for that matter) finding a blood vessel, ligament, or tendon isn't out of the question...and they all look vaguely wormlike...especially in cheap or off brand stuff...In your case I would think about taking it back to the store I bought it from and ask them for an explanation...

Without pictures, I guess I would assume the worst possible scenario and say it is a parasite. If so, cooking to 165 for at least 30 seconds will kill it, any eggs, plus any bacteria.
Parasitic worms are made out of meat. Chorizo is made out of meat. More meat for you!

Your not leaving this table until you finish your worms! They're good for your tummy. 👶

I can't remember if it was here or not, but a couple of years back, I seen where someone had a video of a package of fish from the grocery store... it had little tiny worms wiggling around in it. Giving up meat doesn't matter either. Bugs can turn up in your vegetables and flour too.

it’s a **** pocket from an infection the animal had, maybe from a wound or a injection site. Less common in beef . Seen it happen over the years- check your meat!

The 2nd best white tail buck I ever killed had been "missed" by a muzzle loader hunter two weeks before from the same stand.
While slicing the backstraps prior to grilling, I sliced into 2 pus pockets each as big as two thumbs. Apparently the prior hunter hadn't completely missed it after all, and the early season Louisiana heat had allowed infection to set in. Strange thing is that while dressing the deer there was no visible sign of external damage.

You ordered the chorizo too?
Good thing they didn't cook it before looking...
