Apparently free thought is punished, and conformity is required, while peckerless cowards run the show.

“[Toney is] anti-government and very outspoken about his beliefs that the government is bad and out to get him,” said Toney’s arrest affidavit."

Yeah, so as usual there were some hints along the way...

There are plenty of anti-government people who wholeheartedly believe the government (all governments, in fact) are bad and detrimental to the individual. Doesn't make them violent or hateful.

When our governing officials dismiss due process as mere semantics, when they exercise powers they don’t have and ignore duties they actually bear, and when we let them get away with it, we have ceased to be our own rulers.

THANK YOU. At the very best, any government is a "necessary evil", but evil all the same. Yea, we can't live without one, but it sure isn't good for us all the same.

Our Republic is the compromise the founding fathers came up with between no government, and too much government.

There is a difference between a person that thinks the dark forces of government are out to get that one person in particular, and knowing that all government iss dangerous to EVERYONE’S personal liberty.

YES, a reasonable response that states what I consider obvious, thank you!

I guess I'm anti-government since I am HIGHLY skeptical of anything they come up with for "my benefit", and I believe in general they are the biggest threat to personal freedoms and they suffer from an almost complete lack of accountability.

BUT, I think when you start believing the government is out to get YOU, you have now crossed into delusional.  So when I hear someone actually verbalize this (and I'm glad I don't hear it a lot) the hairs on the back of my neck get REALLY tingly...

Exactly, and as our world becomes a increasingly complex unfortunately society and government must follow.  The founding Fathers would have been paralyzed and overwhelmed if they had faced managing today's New York City, never mind 2020 US of A and the current complex global geopolitical ecosystem.

Randy Weaver thought the government was out to get “him”.  Then they came and entrapped him, shot him, murdered his son, and murdered his wife.  Just sayin

Anyway back to Florida man.  Stabbed his boss to death with a trowel.  What’s up with that, and where did the flag come from?  One article said it was new.  Was this planned or a spur of the moment troweling?
