Another rescue!!

So local shop has a like new Remington 541X .22 in the used gun rack. It was perfect except it was missing the bolt and rear sight!! I did a little research and there were no parts available for a 141X, but every time I went to the store it bugged me to see that nice rifle in an unusable condition! So I did a little more research and started cross referencing part numbers and found that a bolt from the 580 series had the same part number. I found one on E bay for $100. Went back to the store and asked if he wanted to fix it or sell it. Sell it!! It walked out with me for $150. Ordered the bolt and rear sight and now have a great shooter!!

A quick Google search shows some old 2012-2013 threads on other forums and those were going for $500, under 10,000 manufactured too, nicely done. How many magazines did you get with it?

I love peep sights!! I wear multi-focal contac lenses, makes shooting open sights a lot easier!!

It came with one 5 round mag. I bought two more ten rounders. The smaller mags fit flush and were hard to get out, now I have something to grab.
I checked GB and they were going for $600-$800.

Very nice!

You can't have too many .22LR rifles. Cheap to shoot and usually as accurate as the shooter can be.
Thank God such an important part as the bolt was available from another model. Those rescue projects are a lot of fun; my Winchester 52 took a while but managed to repair the broken parts and find and even make the missing ones but had a great time in every step of the process.
