While we're talking about shoes..how come, when I buy new shoes, nobody asks me if I can run faster in them anymore? Being an adult sucks...
HA! When I was a wee lad, I had a combination of being young/naive enough to buy the sensationalist advertising that they WOULD make you faster, a love of the Roadrunner cartoons, and a love of the color green. The result of this all is that I was on a mission to find a pair of green "Zips" brand sneakers.
Fast forward 45+ years and I'm mostly wearing New Balance for various comfort reasons. I found a forest/OD green pair a couple weeks ago. New Balance's trademark "N" is highly reminiscent of a sideways Zips "Z". I gave my Mom a good chuckle when I called her up and said "I finally found 'em!"
And they definitely did NOT make me faster.
As to Zorba's Glock stilettos. . .my inner gun mechanic is alternatively screaming "OBSTRUCTED BORES!" and "SLIDE OUT OF BATTERY DISCONNECT!"

Gun control laws make about as much sense as taking ex-lax to cure a cough.
