House fire!
January 30th, 2am, zero °. My dogs woke me up, I went out with them and when I opened the door yard was full of smoke. Went to south end of house and flames were in attic! Got my wife and all pets outside and FD arrived about 20 minutes later and got it out in less than an hour. No major loss of personal property but about 90K $ in damage.
We're very fortunate having our dogs or it would have been lot worse. No smoke in house so alarms didn't go off until after FD arrived! We're now in the long drawn out process of de-constructing damaged area and beginning re-build. We are able to live in house as work is being done. Damaged area is weather tight and still have electric and well water. What a way to start the new year, then along comes the virus!

Gun control laws make about as much sense as taking ex-lax to cure a cough.
