1.2 mile meteor fly-by for April 29

A big rock 1.2 miles wide will be cruising on by about 4 million miles away. It'll be visible by telescope if anyone wants to stay up and watch. (2:56 a.m. pst 5:56 a.m. est)

    Frankly, I'm surprised we haven't been hit more frequently by these objects. I remember reading about that comet that hit Jupiter some time back. Quite the show.

    Personally, I'm not concerned because that's not really close. Besides, my hometown is the headquarters of the newly commissioned Space Force. They'll do something necessary if necessary becomes necessary.
