Sunday - Gun Day (300yrds with a .22lr)

Took the boy to the range today for some .22lr work.
Started at 25 yards to confirm zero. Then moved him to 50 and then 75 and finally 100 yards.

We were packing up after the 100 yard line and then I thought........what the Hell!
”You want to try 300 yards?”
”Sure.”
I take a few shots and figure out the hold. Tell him, put the bottom of the steel at the bottom of the scope picture and favor left.

He gets up and after a slight adjustment, starts hammering the steel. Over and over again!!

Surprised you like that Archangel stock
It's doable as long as wind is low and target is reactive enough to show hits. Once you manage to master the round's drop, you can enjoy shooting at so extreme range for that cartridge.
Doing it with iron sights is also quite a challenge. My CZ 452 Standard with its military Mauser-style rear sight is great for such shooting.
Wish it was different. I have 10 magazines and a buttload of ammo for it.

Lots of fun. A target on the dirt( can see the bullet kick up dirt) is a great instructor.
