Have you ever been to a flag retirement ceremony? It is a sad and somber ocassion.
Years ago, I was a leader in a local Boy Scout troop. This was back before it was invaded by the PC police. On one of our district camporees we had such a ceremony. One of the flags that was retired only had 47 stars, if memory serves. I may be off by one, but it did not have 50.
I was not aware at the time, but the proper way to retire an American flag is to burn it until it is only ashes. It was a very sobering experience.

Gun control laws make about as much sense as taking ex-lax to cure a cough.
I see you have a solar light on the top of the pole. I had one but it only lasted about six months. The UV rays fogged up the solar panels so bad it quirt working. I got a light that clamps on to the pole and the solar panel is glass.

This one has been working over two years. Very bright. This time of year it lasts all night.
