Pretty little stuzen

JunkCollectorJunkCollector Posts: 522 Senior Member
I've had one of these exact models for over 35 years now.

It's one of those tackdrivers you keep forever. Very few were imported here and most had very plain wood. My girl does.

Now if this jezzabell was one of those plain Janes instead of some untouched beauty queen.

I could have left it there.
It wasn't. ....I didn't

You surprised I left it there so long ?
BTW the 20 is still there.
    Hate that gun.
Trying to find info on it now though.

I'm hoping it's as good a shooter as its sister.

I am surprised, that’s not the kind of Annie you leave alone for to long risking someone else taking her home!!

Another fan of Stutzen rifles here so thumbs up for yours.

Friend of mine has one of those Anschutz but it has a double "set" trigger; he also has a Krico of the same kind and both are awesome shooters.

I have a CZ 455FS that is a tack driver and a Zastava Precision Mannlicher that seems inspired in yours but not as finely finished. Great, compact shooter too even with bulk ammo.

As long as I recall Savage once had some kind of arrangement with Anschutz so you can find cheap spare made in USA for some models.
My pal got one for his and after a little hand fitting with sand paper and a file here & there it worked 100%. Just make a little online search and you'll find which ones will fit your rifle.

For hunting he has got the best accuracy and ballistic performance in his with the Winchester Power Point.

Concealed carry is for protection, open carry is for attention.

Now to see if it performs as well as the other.
If not......well maybe the wood will stay.

I agree but had a hard time already having one that is so precise.

    Did I mention I hate that 20 gauge ?

Liking it! Don't pretend to know much about these, but it looks very nice.

    It's an anschutz model 1418.
I've seen 2 in my life.

I am happy with this one.

Yes, it’s become a favored range toy.  Mindless tiny little groups and always a conversation starter.  We should get them together someday and let them play 😁

    Just check the foliage closely.
We don't need anyone  finding out what a FS gun is capable of .

Just use the buzzword chronograph and we should be safe.

Dang brother me and you with 22''s would be fun.
I'd have a hard time choosing the ones to bring.

Definitely the Roper gun and the H&R single shot.

    Road trip ?

    That would be cool.
Hopefully we won't be dealing with covid  as much.

I did find out the guns almost 40 now 1981 date code.

There is an uberti stoeger in 45-60 case colored that I think has your name on it.
