Is Mossberg closing up shop?

I've seen some reports on facebook that a George Soros company has bought Mossberg and that they are closing them down.  Facebook being Facebook, I tend to view everything I read there with a tad of skepticism.

Has anyone else heard this, or has it been cofirmed?

    The rumor I heard/read was Marlin. Remington confirmed it as “fake news”.

    I saw this elsewhere, couldn't resist posting it because its EXACTLY what I've been saying for years, only far more eloquently and succinctly:

    Facebook Groups: A place where idiots ask questions, morons answer questions, grown adults post selfies, and drama is served on a daily basis. A cesspool of misinformation, drama, teenage like behavior, and stupidity.

    The O.F. Mossberg Facebook page has nothing on it as to a shutdown or anything else.  Neither does the official O.F. Mossberg page on the internet. Got LOTS of info on new products and giveaways, though.
    People are buying ALL firearms at a prodigious rate. People are snapping up most everything available on every platform. And ammo is again in short supply, like all y'all ain't noticed. ANTIFA and BLM are giving Obama a run for his money on best firearms sellers. People are scared poopless as to what's going on and are arming up. And Unca Joe Biden and his rhetoric on firearms bans if he's elected add to  the panic. It ain't rocket surgery.
    Speaking of Facebook, most every manufacturer has a page. All kinds of good stuff on those pages in  spite of Zorba's dislike for Facebook. Lots of groups on specific firearms, such as lever action, .22 rimfire, black powder rifle and pistol, and other firearms. Milsurps, too. Like anything else, Facebook is a place where you have to show some discrimination in which groups you choose to Like or join in closed groups.

    I'm proud to say that I've been kicked off of several so called Conservative Facebook pages. And once I figured out they weren't who they said they were, I gave them no choice but to  ban me. Usually a member giving me some smack for something, and me coming back with a full flight of fully loaded B52s and that well educated sailor language. They couldn't take it and reported me for being a mean person! :D
