get out of this idiotic city, and back into the Texas Hill Country.

There isn't much neat left to Austin.  It's just turned crazy stupid.

Northern Wisconsin is probable my new favorite area. If you can overlook the absence of 14'ers, it feels like Colorado did in the good old days. Forests, lakes and rivers that you can still feel at peace among.

That's where my new Corp HQs are and it is BEAUTIFUL up there.  Colder than a witches ass in the Winter though so I think I want something a little milder weather wise but it is a NICE area!

A private island where id be alone with only my immediate family. Nobody else would be allowed. If someone was to shipwreck right off my coast, they best not attempt to swim ashore.

Colorado Springs is often opined to be one of the most conservative places in the country. At one time, I'd have agreed. But 16 years later, I hardly recognize the place.

A timely question. After 27 years in more urban digs than we care for, we're headed to Michigan's UP. Set to get in on Sept 15th. I forgot how much work moving can be.....

Just the thought of moving makes my head (and back) hurt. I have never lived more than fifteen miles or so from where I grew up Unfortunately Kalifonians moving here have turned the area blue but I may just have to suck it up.

Same here. Colorado has, politically, changed so much in the past 15 years that I hardly recognize it. I pay a lot of attention to California, because whatever happens there happens here a year or two later. You can take that to the bank.

Yes! Just not in a big city. Nafplion would be my first choice. I also like Kentucky.

Delfi would be my first choice. Nafplion is quite nice too. I wouldn't mind Athens at all either - but not in the summertime. Xania on Crete would be another top pick. So many cool places!

This would be a hard one
..Loved Utah great hunting...great fishing...horrible taxes...

Kansas...great hunting, fishing basically sucked...no taxes on my retirement income

Michigan...where we're at...fishing is great. Hunting is somewhat mediocre due to the way they handle licenses...also no taxes on my retirement income...

I guess if I had to go elsewhere, I'd probably go North to the U.P....only real downside is that the winters are a bastard...
