There is not one word of this on the major networks.  Where is the outrage when a unarmed little white boy gets shot by a armed black man for no reason?

From Newsweek....."Sessoms was previously arrested multiple times, in 2015 and 2016, on federal and misdemeanor firearms and drug charges, public records from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety show."

No celebrities speaking at his funeral, millions to his parents, no gold coffin, not one mention by a politician.
Ignoring this will only lead to more of the same.

The perpetrator was arrested on charges of first degree murder. I'd guess he'll be burried a lot deeper than this story was, when he goes before the judge. People get understandably upset about killing children. His sentence will likely be permanent.

I'm sure your right.  The point is that not one major news outlet made this known. They actually squashed it

I think suspected conspiratorial reporting will very hard to substantiate. Slant or spin is much easier to identify.

Fox News has been on it like white on rice.  I don't watch the others, so I can't say.

Regardless, it seems at least as big as the George Floyd debacle, especially now since more of the body cam footage has been released.

Is it our turn to riot and act stupid????

CNN, Fox, ABC, USA Today and WaPo,

Yep sure looks like it's being covered up
Did you see this on the 6:00 news?  Was there a breaking story?  Take a look at the dates of the articles you linked.   The big news outlets did not give it a mention, until they were shamed by small independent networks.  Did you see any city, state or national leaders make any comments?  Sports stars or actors say a word?  Linking articles that did not run until almost a week after the event happened is not news.  It was covering their ass after they were called out on it

    Vic,

I saw it on the evening shows such as The Story (Martha McCallum), Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity.  That's about all of FNC that I watch.

The difference I see between the Floyd video and this terrible event is that there doesn't seem to be a video of the child's murder. Sadly, if there was surveillance camera or camera phone video to go along with the story (in other words, can't be ignored) then it would've gain more traction and outrage.
Law enforcement does try to avoid trial by public opinion. When there's damning video evidence, it's pretty much unavoidable then the outrage of the slaying becomes the news story.
Terrible news story. I wish it could've been covered better.

The other difference is that the perpetrator was not a public servant charged with protection and service of the community.

Very fortunately, it was also not part of an extensive series of similar events.

    Except it is.

If you watched Fox News, you would know that a number of young children, mostly from gang infested neighborhoods, in Chicago and NYC, have been killed by gang violence.  I'm not talking about teens, either.  There was a 1 year old killed, and several not much older.

What is truly unfortunate is that no one but FNC is willing to take on black on black crime.

Early read your reply again. The other difference?   Hiw about the difference being a black guy walked up to a child and shot him in the head.  He executed a little boy, a white boy. Some reports say he bragged in texts that he iffed a possible white supremacist.  If course that last bit is unverifiable atleast until his trial.

When it comes to murder, there is no difference whether it's a deranged public servant or a deranged lunatic on the street.

The subject of the OP is the lack of timely news coverage.

Nothing in the text of my post condones or even fails to recodnize the heinous murder of the innocent child. Nor does it imply any justification for the lack of coverage. Only speculation for the reason.
