Ever wonder why...

...drug stores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front?

...Noah didn't swat those two mosquitoes?

    Simple capitalism.

Make the sick folks walk past and see all the OTC meds on the way back to the pharmacy, so they can collect them on the way back up to the register.

The smokers, being addicts, are coming in for one thing, and it's generally best to get rid of addicts quickly, but they will be walking to the back for prescription meds eventually anyway.

PPP=PPR I can't type out that acronym. Anyway, the cigs are kept up front to keep the kiddies from  buying them, except that doesn't work. They just get a friend or someone of legal age to buy them for them, like they do the vape pipes and 'juice'. But it's 'doing something'.
Drugs are kept in back as that needs a pretty big secure space, and also to accommodate the ubiquitous drive-up window service. Also need a safe to keep the narcotics locked up with the safe on a timer that can't be opened until the timer times out. Just 'doing something' again.
If there weren't so many worthless wastes of protoplasm walking around then none of that would be necessary, so it is what it is.

But that still doesn't explain the two mosquitoes, Mike.

    Yes this.  It's Retail 101.

Mosquitoes, being rather tiny insects, snuck on the Ark when Noah wasn't looking, and hid out the whole time up in the upper timbers. Noah couldn't swat what he couldn't see and didn't know that they were there. Only explanation I got. :D

This talk of mosquitoes reminds me of how my 7 years old grandson says grace.  He thanks God for all the good things, but not the bad things.  One of these days I'll explain to him that if it weren't for the bad things, we might just not appreciate the good things.

JerryBobCo is right about that. The comparison of the bad things in life that are visited upon us make the good things that come our way all the more sweeter and memorable.

Yep.  Retail 101... make customers walk past all sorts of things they haven't thought about in order to get to the things they've decided they NEED.  Ideally, make sure they have to do this no matter which way they enter or leave, that way they have to do it twice, giving double the chance that they'll decide they need other things "since they're there already".

As for the mosquitos, they help us to appreciate cool, breezy weather. 😉

Where have you been, hey? Any civil unrest in your neighborhood?
