Damn ZEE!!! Jedi mind tricks do work on the feeble minded...

So as I mentioned a few weeks back I bought a 48 frame for my 43 making it into a 43X Frankenglock. Damn if this is not a fine handgun! Since it's been a few weeks I thought I'd post an update.
I have been spending some quality time with it at the range and as a final touch I got a set of TFOs at a serious discount from one of my local partners and she is now complete. This simple, ultra light rig has been spending a LOT of time with me carrying AIWB lately.

The larger 48 frame gives me 11 rounds (21 with a reload) in a handy container that is significantly lighter and slimmer than even my Kimber Ultra guns. When the Shield Arms test mag arrives (seriously back ordered), if it works as advertised, I will have 16 rounds (!!!) of 9mm at the ready in a package that is VERY manageable and smaller than the 19! The 48 Frame is only a smidge bigger than the old 43 with the Pearce mag extensions that got me to 7 rounds per mag, but it's also big enough to fit my full hand so the trade for the extra fraction of an inch is a plus!
I'm not a full convert yet, my 1911s are never far away from my hand, but this new size frame is awesome and actually fits my hand nicely! For folks that never liked how the Glocks "feels" in your hands, go find a 43x or 48 to try out. I think you'll notice a BIG difference.
As to performance, well, it's a Glock. Has never jammed with anything I've fed her even my mixed mags and running her ragged and dirty. Accurate as I'll ever need it to be and shoots everything to same POA. Shouldn't have even wasted the keystrokes to type this...
Now I'm gonna go wash my mouth with soap and scrub my hands with alcohol before I go cuddle with my 1911s...

I just picked up a set of Hi Viz light wave sights for my Shield. Going to try again this weekend, but could not get the bad front sight to budge

I started with a wood dowel, no joy
went to a brass punch, no movement at all
Hit it with a heat gun, wood, then brass punch and again no movement at all.
Will try the soldering gun, if that doesnt do it, a local guy says he will do it for a small fee.
The insert on the front sight fell out. I attempted to fill it with glow in the dark paint and build it up, but just do not like how it looks. Plan A was to replace the front sight. now working on plan B is replace front and rear sights with the Hi Viz ones Green in the rear and Red up front. If i dont like that all will be green
