New Sights

A while back the insert on the front sight of my Shield came out.  I attempted to fill it with sight paint, but just wasn't happy. Have liked FOs and decided to order some HiViz after a recommendation from Z.   I attempted to get the front sight off and it wouldnt budge.  Our forum brother @Justsomedude sent me a message and off it went to his shop. Exactly a week after dropping the slide off with USPS it came back today. I couldnt be happier.

I like the protective skeleton of the metal containing the fiber optics. I think its an improvement of the early designs that left too much of the fibers exposed to potential damage.

Earlyagain, I think you are right. Time will tell, but they seem pretty solidly built

I'm glad to have been of assistance. And as we discussed  they were on extremely well, so it wasn't something you were doing wrong. I've just been unfortunate enough to have to do alot of them 😆

I happen to know that between the ash dowel and brass punch i marred the finish a bit, and didn't budge the front sight.  You changed front and rear without a mark on the guns surface.    That takes a professional
