My father's ten pointer

Last week my father shot a nice ten point buck. Shooting distance was 80 yards and he used his one and only rifle, a Tikka T3 in 308 win. Bullet was 168 grain ttsx and the buck was quartering in way that the bullet went in fight behind the right shoulder and exited in front of the left shoulder.

Buck weighted 176 lbs without the head, feet and hide. Today my father butchered and cut it and came to our home to use my meat grinder. And to bring me it's head for me so I can make a euro mount out of it. While at it I photographed him with the deer.
Not a bad hunt for an old man turning 75 years next February. He was very pleased for the deer he got.

The buck I shot at 70 yards with a 168 grain .30 caliber TTSX didn't weigh 176 pounds WITH his head, feet, hide, and guts. Your Dad did GOOD!
