Quick afterwork hunt gave 9th deer for this season

I was actually there in hope of shooting a calf moose. But a young deer buck came there so I desided to take it
Just a basic 100 yard shot with a decent placement gave a little surprice. Deer was very strong and managed to run 200 yards after the hit. As it was very dark and I didn’t see where it went after the hit I desided to call one of our members to bring a dog to find it.
After the dog came into place where there were some hair it bolted into totally different direction where I would have guessed. But the tracking was very straight forward with the dog.
No moose today but a nice young buck. 9th for the season.
