I now own mags and a red dot for a gun I haven't ordered yet.
That gun is on my nightstand as we speak! 🤣

Like the dweeb from Men's Wearhouse used to say, "You're gonna like the way you look" :D

I've been able to minimally play with that exact combo on a couple of 48's at this point.  Like other stuff from CHPWS, the quality and fit-to-gun on their mounting plate for the 507K is excellent and their mounting screws beefy.

The stock height sights are REALLY low witness about the 507K's deck.  Indeed, the 507K's deck is cut with it's own fixed sight.  I'm not aware of suppressor-height sights for the little Glocks on the market yet -give it time.  Until they do, blacked out is probably better than tritiums you won't be able to see the entire front dot of. The Ameriglo Defoor's are a good metal option to the cheesy factory plastics.

I can't passionately argue against the 43X because it's a really sweet gun for certain applications, but my own leaning at this point is to the 48 for a couple reasons:

    1.  The pre-release photos of the slim, 500 lumen TLR-7 single battery light for this new rail indicate that its length places the front of the bezel about even with the muzzle of the 48.  Obviously, on a 43X, it'll stick past.  No doubt the march of technology will eventually give us smaller, equally bright lights in the future, but so long as the CR123A remains the gun light battery of choice, it's gonna be hard to shrink them further.

    2.  The barrel-past-the-frame design of the 48 makes for a longer, beefier recoil spring guide ring than one sees on the more "legacy" Glock models.  Of minimal concern, but definitely a point of "don't drop your slide THERE" to consider.  I'd have preferred they gave the 48 its own longer frame and longer recoil spring/travel, but I get that they want the production benefit of the same frame and spring as the 43X.

    3.  And yeah, there's that whole sight radius and velocity thing, but that's just splitting hairs.

A certain amount of "what's comfortable for you in an IWB holster" would need to be considered before finalizing the choice.

The good news is NEITHER one of them is long enough to press agains “the boys” while I AIWB carry when I sit down so I split the difference and....  got both...

I keep going back and forth between the 43X and the 48. God's honest truth, the tiebreaker might be the fact that with TLR-7a micro and 507K, a G48 looks like a miniaturized version of my G34 in every dimension.

The other side of that being that all a G48 offers over my G19 is .25" or so less width (look it up, it's literally a staggered stack slim G19). In light of that, I'm less inclined to go G48 when I have zero issues carrying the G19.

Pure dimensions might not show a huge difference but I have a Glock 44 (dimensionally identical to the 19) right by me and right next to the 48.  When you switch from one to the other the difference of the feel in hand is staggering!!!!!  And the difference when you have it in a holster AIWB is really noticeable.  If the 19 is not an issue to CC you’re going to LOVE the 43X or 48.

I've been kinda feeling the same "magic" vibe GunNut is, and all I've done at this point is inspect & test fire a few.

To me, these new Glocks are kinda capturing what the .32 and .380 Colt M-frame / Pocket Hammerless  /1903-1908 were all about - a streamlined, yet very serious solution to the carry invisibly problem.

In that light, the 48 and 43X are almost literally the updated PP and PPK/S, respectively.

Actually a pretty interesting and spot on view.  It’s almost like getting a 1903....  in 9mm  with 15+1 round capacity 😁
