There's a website "Radio Garden" where every radio station in the world is displayed on a map.  Each station is represented by a blue dot.  You can move the selector button over the blue dot and hear what's being broadcast everywhere.  I think it's fascinating.  I was surprised to see how much music and general stuff is in English.  Not the DJs, but the songs.  Also, in widely separated locations, one in S. America and the other in the Netherlands, IIRC, where they was a commercial for Schlotzsky's (SP) in American English.  It's a good way to pass time, even if you don't understand what the DJs are saying.

I also found out about this recently. I can *FINALLY* get some decent music out of Greece - found a very nice station on the south side of Crete.

That is a really cool site, thanks Gene! I was actually surprised also at how much music is in english. It's nice to know the Seventies are alive and well in Dublin. 🤣

Then you must be in a Mexican radio  :D:D:D

Down here we have a great, even for international standards, rock radio: 99.1 FM or "Double Nine" as they call themselves. They advertise that "they'll never be the N° 1 radio.....NEVER", and in their online transmission they have among others a very nice "Classics" selection from the '60s to the '80s.

    That is very cool.

Hmmm, this is interesting! What is the name of the station? I often visit my friend at his Greek flat and I am so used to listening to local music while there that I want to continue doing it at my home too. Would appreciate your advice

Radio Sfakia in Xora Sfakion (Kriti). I'm sure there are plenty of others just as good, but this was the first one I found playing Demotika and other traditional Greek music.

Leave it to Zorba to find the interesting sites.

Thank you, Zorba. Now I'll be streaming Polish Polka Punk Rock.

Gene found it here, although I heard about it a couple of weeks ago on a Belly Dance forum.
