Been a year so... what did I miss?

Oregon has not been good to me.  I have been off the forum for a year or so, but I have kept up on Facebook. What did I miss?  I know about the shoot... ( sad face ). 

I have not shot a gun in nearly three years.  It sucks!

    Good to have you back!  It’s been very quiet and subdued.  The political forum is mostly dead, THANK GOD!  Less discussions but more gun stuff.  Some old faces cycling through here and there.

    The brick of 22 ammo thread is STILL going strong, the shoot is canceled as you know, there's a VERY interesting firearms trivia thread going, and I bought a Jeep last year.

    Hey Dan, long time no see.  Wife asked about you just the other day.
    Went to look you up, but yours one of the numbers my phone lost.

    That Rem 700 is a take driver with only a few mods.  Picked up a P365 the other day and Aouth Florida is no fun anymore.

    Oddly enough, the people that either disappeared or were banned are the ones that made this place more interesting. There's only one banishment that I celebrate, and I think most of you know who that is.

    Yeeeeeeah, I'm finally getting this.  I can actually say (and it pains me to do so), I can't believe how freaking hardheaded I've been about this point for years...  This is going to surprise some folks that have known me for years, but I went to put one of my Kimbers on my waist AIWB and stood there for like 2 minutes and then took it off and grabbed the 43X again and walked out.  If anyone had told me I'd be doing that 6 months ago I would have laughed at them.

    I don't know that the 17 will ever earn my "love" but damn that thing is a work mule.  Yesterday I fed it a bunch of mags full of random mixed leftovers of every shape weight and configuration I could come up with and of course it ate EVERYTHING.  The new FO front sight rocks and it's just always THERE!  When I focus on the target(s) for faster up close shots you can NOT miss the damn thing.  I have a new straight drop kydex Raven Concealment Phantom Holster headed my way (a great holster that RC discontinued but I managed to get one before they vanish) and I'm really excited about this.  It won't be a tiny CC rig but it will be a great range sidearm when I'm open carrying while teaching!

    Well, I am getting divorced, so that's about all I have to concentrate on for the next year.  It sucks.  My choice.  I am a square peg in a round hole in Portland.

    Sad news Dan.  Oregon sure has changed since I was in the area several years ago.  When I was there hunting, shooting. And fishing were the top recreational activities in Washington and Oregon.  We wish you strength through a difficult time.
