Well, I am getting divorced, so that's about all I have to concentrate on for the next year. It sucks. My choice. I am a square peg in a round hole in Portland.
Our daughter is a junior, so I will be here until she graduates in June 2022 and then I will re-evaluate. I am thinking about moving to Sarasota, FL, where two of my sisters live, and my 93 yr old mother. Oregon would be a great hunting and fishing state if I had anyone in my immediate circle that participated. As it is, in Portland, I am a heathen, knuckle dragging Republican swine...

I almost died from Covid last fall, spent 40 days in the hospital.
John 3: 1-21
Best luck, and prayers on the wing.
Gun control laws make about as much sense as taking ex-lax to cure a cough.
Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.... now who's bringing the hot wings? :jester:
there are those still here that do those things.
i work with many of them and for the most part, we all get along even with different views. I just started a new job with alot of them and they are fine and alive here. we all joke and everyone has thier own problems too. SOSDP.
With COVID im sure its not so easy to "make friends" but thats the way it is in many places. A good friend wants to retire and hunt. but for the most part, no one will hunt or wants to hunt. He's asked me a couple times, but im not a hunter type and i appreciated him asking me since its not like you ask any old joe blow. And hunting is like fishing. You dont show your best/fav spots to strangers unless you want to loose those spots.
i quit fishing years ago too. If i fished, i wanted a fish on my plate too. So later i opted to buy and have a fish on my plate. I know its about the time together and so forth, but for me, it was also about having some fish to eat.
You can go fishing if you want. No one will stop you. I have a 70+ y/o friend that still do it and 1 friend had a heart attack, surgery and is on some cocktail of pills and he still gets out on his drift boat and catches fish. Some other friend was on one fo the local rivers and snagged a couple a couple months? ago.
you may have to do some solo fishing before you meet some others too.
