I fiund this 100 round box of Remington ammo from 1986.$2.99 for 100 rounds!Even adjusted for inflation($7.99 in todays dollars )ammo is crazy expensive!20 bucks today to buy the same amount!

I bought a crap ton of .22LR after it came back in stock a couple of years ago, and kept buying it against times like these.  $25 for a 500-round brick was pretty good, I thought, so I would buy one every few weeks.  Sometimes I paid a little more for some better quality rounds, but since they all work, I didn't get too picky.

Yes I bought a 50 round box of .22 Winchester Magnum for the second cylinder of my .22 Heritage rough Ruder at it was 20 bucks !

I remember paying $.99 for my first box of .22 lr.

Yep I remember in 84 a box of Rem .22 was $1 56!

About early 90s I paid 8.88 apiece for bricks of Federal Lighting. Still have a couple bricks.

I’m paying $40-$50 / 500 for good stuff on Gunbroker for training.  Not buying any for myself since I have a buttload in my private stash.  The training stuff I just pass on the cost to my folks that can’t get any locally.

Yeah, it is 50 cents or less for a box of 50 .22 lr at the local hardware store as it was when I was a kid.
