Transformations from factory guns

Kudos to Zee, for this idea.
Post pictures of the finished customized/modded guns that started off in a factory format.
I don't necessarily need the picture of the stock gun (that would be fine though), but am looking for pictures of the upgraded/customized guns, with a description of what was done.

Every thing else is just grip pannels, adapters, etc..

I have a bone stock Rem 700 mnt gun. Big box counter guy mounted the scope for me. I sighted in for the cheapest ammo on the shelf. Bought upteen boxes of the stuff. Settled for mediocre, took a couple three cow elk, never looked back. I may restock it some day. Im a hard person to pigeon hole. Peculiar and enigmatic.

Well step up to the plate Brother....When you have time B)o:)
When I thought about this, I realized I only have two factory centerfire rifles.
In SP's I have two as well, both are Remington Custom Shop XP's (250 Savage and 6BR)

I used to have a single shot H&R 20 gauge shotgun.  At one of the SE Shoots, I shot a couple of our late friend TennMike's single shot pistol caliber rifles.  He did some tinkering at Jerry's and after the shoot, took the top half of the shotgun home with him.  Fast forward several weeks and the top half came to my door. It is now an extremely accurate single shot rifle chambered in .357 magnum. Once i get out of South Florida I will be upgrading the scope to something to match the rifles accuracy

    Its 30-06.
Has an old Redfield 3×9 Tracker in a Luepold base. Strange thing, the windage turret is one marked for elevation. Factory mistake. I never had it fixed. I keep a note inside the cap. Real cheap factory plastic stock. Solid rifle. Could use a better one. Someday. Better glass too eventually.

It looks in the pic like H&R put decent color case on the reciever. Has sentimental value now Im sure.

Ernie may not like this one since it started out as a factory SP.

    XP-100 221 Fireball - custom chassis, 16" barrel.

    Wow!
JKP you've posted that one before. Its the only one I've seen like it. Im sure those actions are coveated for many custom creations, but that's unique unto itself.

    JKP,
I have no problem with a customization of a XP action or any other action FWIW.
It used to be called the poor man's custom action.
    They are pricey now though.
    I bet that is a soft-shooter.

    Here’s a couple…

Middle gun facing left was a factory S&W Model 629-1 in pristine condition when I bought it.
Later transformed into a 4” Slim barreled “Mountain Gun” by our own Calebib.

This gun started life as a gently scarred Model 27-2 and was transformed by our own Justsomedude into a tackdriving slim-barreled old school .44 Mag.

I guess I just love slim barrel Smiths!

Top is my S&W M&P Performance Center CORE 9mm open gun.  Bottom is my carry 9mm shield.  More mods inside them you can't see. You also can't see the ported barrel.Top one uses 27 round mags, bottom 10 round.  Top now sports a leupold delta point pro.  The vortex could not take the recoil.

    Those 44 Smiths are enviable!

I'm not familiar with the Performance Center pistols. They must be real good to invest modifications and stand up to competition usage.

Here's a Remington 600 Mohawk chambered in 6mmBR Rem. Hart barrel, action trued and lugs lapped by Hart. Fiberglass stock that's been pillar bedded. Trigger replaced (probably Timney, but not sure). Parkerized finish.

    And a custom paint job...

Shoots great for its size - 0.5" groups at 100 yards. Very handy rifle.

The .243 Winchester “Heavy” has been through a few iterations in her life.
Action is an early Remington 700. I put a 32” Krieger Heavy Varmint barrel w/1-8” Twist chambered in .243 Winchester.
Trigger is either a Remington 40x or Timney. I’d have to pull her out to remember.
Current stock is a Choate Varmint/Tacfical.
    Leupold Mk4 Rings/Base.
    Vortex Diamondback Tactical FFP 4-16x w/MRAD turrets/reticle.

She shoots better than me rather consistently.
A Beast of a gun. I’ve taken a few deer with her. Head and neck shots. Doesn’t get out much. But does well when she does.
