In this context, picture someone in a big full skirt with a ruffled hem, who - after chewing out all and sundry present - swirls the skirt dramatically and exits like a Drama Queen. S/he told us! The term refers to bottom trim/hem, a "Flounce".
I often add flounces to the bottom edge of my dance skirts to make them a few inches longer and add pizazz!
I'm a bit puzzled by the roll pin above and behind the ejection port. It does not appear to be the anchor point for one of those stupid shark-fin LCI's.
I'm also curious as to what the trigger pivots on, since it does not seem to have a cross-pin for that in the usual location - nor to hold in a locking block, for that matter.
I grew up running autos without loaded chamber indicators, and can live quite nicely without one, BUT if you're gonna copy Glock, their LCI extractor is one of the better features.
Meh. Answer to an unasked question at this point in time.

Maybe a pinned in breach face?

Makes me think the whole trigger mechanism is self contained and removable like the SIG? I see no metal plate for a serial number in the frame. The pin on the slide is probably to remove the firing pin like a SIG P series.
I think this might be a Glock/SIG hybrid!
Of course I’m only guessing. The videos that are out don’t have enough detail. One of them does field strip the gun and it does NOT look like a self contained trigger group but it’s not clear enough. I’m going out today to see if anyone around here has one to play with.
Update: less than a year out and there's a recall on this for a firing pin safety issue. What strikes me is that the serial numbers listed aren't necessarily sequential.

Apparently. But hey even SIG has had some trips along their way lately. A lot of fast production going on in the gun world and it seems just about every new model ends up in some sort of recall nowadays.
I almost wrote off the P365 for their firing pin issue and I must say I’m becoming rather fond of the little gun.
It still seems like a nice offering from Kimber. I have purposely avoided the micro-9mm craze going on right now, but guns like that, and the Sig P365, and the Ruger Max9 aren't making it easy. I told myself that once I went .45ACP, I was all-in, and I've been true to that edict so far. But sometimes, I feel like I'm really depriving myself by being stubborn.
On an unrelated note, too bad the buster flamed out so quickly. My popcorn wasn't even done popping yet......
Knowledge is essential to living freely and fully; understanding gives knowledge purpose and strength; wisdom is combining the two and applying them appropriately in words and actions.

You are…. I was that hardheaded too. Gave Zee some heartburn by ignoring his advise for years. But now I want to kick myself for waiting this long. The Glock 48 is now permanent EDC and the P365 is swiftly taking on backup work too.
I thought the 48 was the ultimate do it all but, on long drives with a gun AIWB that darn P365 is a joy to have on your belt. And they are similar enough that training with one is the same as training with the other.

The chassis isn't removable.
