Good enough. ..added a 16 gauge
They don't all have to be pretty.
At 100 years old I don't expect it.
It does ring true and is perfectly on face.
I'm learning.
It's from baker gun company.
A Batavia leader
I've been wanting a 16 gauge and this fit the bill really well.
Not sure how it's choked yet but is set for 2 3/4 shells.
The barrels are 26".
Should be good going out with my son when he takes the pretty one.

Bores are good
I think it will fill the desired niche I have in mind.
If not well.....for another day.
I don't bear hunt all day so.....
Plastic wads really streak up the bores on old guns. NN suggested Wd40 to clean it. It works great on my old Stevens.
Might need to load your own if these old guns keep following you home.
When I was at my BIL's for bear I saw one in 20.
We only hunt for a few hours before dusk for them.
I think the 20's are quite a bit rarer.
Just don't know if it was still on face as well.
The lever was left of center.
Did find a trinket and something else.
The trinket
I ran into the same thing with the 20 not liking my vintage paper collection.
I did just give it some kroil in appropriate areas.
Wow it was much needed it everything if flowing much smoother now.
Probably a good thing.
Avoid temptation with uninvited range fowl.
Houston.......Houston.....We have ignition.
20 paces.
Barrel one guessing IC or even more open
Heck I could shoot a dove or several at the same time with it.
Barrel 2 a lot tighter?
Really peppered the box
I could see the confetti flying
This one lists the smith's by the old names so thinking 50's
I've learned a bit about doubles now and the barrels don't look cut.
I really like the pattern of the second barrel and plan to try the first again to see exactly what it's like pattern wise.
It may be the antiquated ammo as Enzo said.
The first batch wouldn't even fire.
The second was still old paper....just a different box.
Both fired
I'll know soon.
