I had a 16 gauge 311 Stevens that I refurbished. I sold before my move. That was a mistake! It shot like a 20 and hit like a 12. Light, fast handling, and a joy to carry, what a great pheasant/quail gun. This is a beautiful SxS and should be a hoot to shoot.
I had a Sears (I think) 311 that had been really fixed up by someone. Brilliant blue, good walnut stock, Neidner style steel buttplate. It was beautiful and cheaper than it should have been. I sold it last year because I didn't need it...I say sold it but believe I traded it for a Colt Vest Pocket pistol, which I didn't "need" either.
Concealed carry is for protection, open carry is for attention.
