Yep - I'm pretty much committed to keeping my old junk running for another 25 years (my expected lifetime). As I've stated many times, I have less than zero interest in ANYTHING new, at least in the effete North American car market. There's a couple of new vehicles in India that have gotten my attention though, for all the good that will do me in this Cradle to Grave Socialist-Liberal Nanny State (tm).

Well since this one is about Jeeps I will add one. I have a 2000 Grand Cherokee V-8 and I just put in new fuel injectors, Started it up and runs great but then a couple days later it has become hard to start and does not want to idle. Once it is running and rpms are up it still runs good. Any body have an idea what might be going on?
Only if it is working fine at high rpms but being electric don't think that is it, at least if it is going out I already have another new one. I was originally thinking vacuum leak but can't find any problems, all hoses are in good condition.

Did they put in aftermarket injectors or OE? Sounds like you have an injector bleeding off.

That hasn’t been my experience with any Jeep I’ve owned. I have spent money on upgrades but NEVER pricey repairs.
Wife wants a new 4-WD vehicle and has been bugging me to take her car AND mine to a Jeep dealership and see what we can do with a 2 car deal. I would not mind a few tech upgrades. I do miss electric windows and locks.
Maybe I’ll just peek

If you do have an injector that was bleeding down, after replacing it it would be a good idea to change the engine oil too. Or go drive the piss out of it for awhile at highway speeds to boil the gasoline that will be in the crankcase sump out of it....
With the price of gas, it would be probably cheaper to change the oil.
