Had to pick 1 up today being on sale at Rural King and a $20 manuf. rebate going on. Will have cost me $106 otd in the end. I know a couple here have them. I was wondering if any site "adjustment" was needed.

My shooting buddy had one.  They aren't accurate enough to fine tune the way you sight one; have to do it by hold-off.  A good little pistol, just not target grade accuracy.

Did you get both cylinders, one for 22lr and the other in 22 wmr?

They're fun to play with and they keep costs down. Fortunately, mine was "fairly" accurate out of the box. Most shots hit where I was aiming. Some of the blame I put on the bulk boxes of 22 ammo I bought at Wally World years ago. With the 22 wmr cylinder, I was actually more accurate. I'm guessing I got a good one, I've heard some folks say their 22 mag cylinders printed all over the place. Shooter? Gun(QC)? I don't know, but mine was GTG out of the box.

Let us know how yours does out at the range.

I got the revolving carbine version.  It’s a goofy gun to play with, and accurate enough for plinking. I did not have to adjust my sights

It is just the .22lr but I am going to get the WMR cylinder from Heritage for $30 shipped.

Hard to pass up for $100. Made a couple range trips last week, but winter decided to come to PA this week. Hopefully soon.

I have two of them, one with the 4.75 inch barrel and one with the 6.5 inch. The one with the 6.5 inch, I ordered the mag cylinder but I never use it hardly at all. That one was before Taurus bought them out. The cocobolo grips on both are nice but the longer barrel is more accurate. I like them both for plinking however and paid about $150 for each one but bought them seven years apart, one at a hardware store in Slatington, Pennsylvania and one at Cabela’s in Hamburg, Pennsylvania with a gift card. They’re both the alloy models, not the all steel. I don’t shoot them very much but I never had any lock up problems with either. I always felt, for an inexpensive single action they are a good deal. Fixed sights however, of course. I painted the front sight white.

Anyone ever seen or heard of a Stevens model 101? It looks like a heritage 22 revolver but its a single shot with a faux cylinder. The whole cylinder and barrel assembly swings out for loading and ejecting. I'd never seen one until a guy brought one in the other day that won't eject cases because the chamber is boogered up. If I remember tomorrow I'll take a pic of it.

I had one with a "boogered" up cylinder, I gave it to an uncle in Minnesota about 40 years ago, I wonder if it's the same one.

Back to the OP, I think it was PSA just had them on sale for $100!!!  Lord it’s tough not to just order one to keep in the Jeep all the time…

I have been interested for a while at the usual price ($139 ish). Rural King put the "Mammoth" on sale for $119 + the $20 rebate. Was a no brainer at that point. Seems surprisingly well made for the price. I don't expect it will last a lifetime, but who cares. Will be a great tool to teach the kids some pistol shooting.
