There are PLENTY of other options outside of a cantilever,  or Savage 220.  Maybe you should try asking questions of the vast collective knowledge here, rather than making a statement,  and try to prove/disprove it. There are scores of people on here that live in shotgun only states, and have shooting slugs their entire lives.
But, you haven't asked.
