The gun is as awesome as it was in the gun store. 

The holster (first time seeing it) is somewhat on the flimsy side. But, we’ll designed for purpose.

Thin suede body with thicker leather framing, I like the ambi design a lot. I like that it is a 4 position holster. Do wish it was more robust, but, it’s a token as part of the sale, not a stand alone. I get it. 

I’ve cleaned and lapped the barrel. Cleaned the cylinder. Tomorrow I’ll shoot the gun at 10 and 20 yards for accuracy and function.

The gun itself feels AMAZING in the hand!!!  It has heft and comfort.

Factory trigger setting is just over 5lbs.  

I did a Poor Man’s Trigger Job on it and cut the weight almost in half.  

Burnished the Sear and…….

Not bad for $Free.99!!!

Hit the range with a few different load options. I have a lot more kinds of .22lr ammo, but these I have in bulk. 

Started at 10 yards to narrow the playing field. 

One consternation I didn’t notice at the gun store, the front sight blade is slightly bent or welded with a left lean. This will come into play as all rounds impact right of POA. 

The 36gr HV seemed to group the best.

 So, I tried it at 25 yards along with the 40gr SV because…..well…..I have a couple generations worth of that ammo. 

Both struck low and to the right of POA, but amazingly the 40gr SV took over as grouping tighter. I thought maybe I sucked with the 36gr ammo and tried another target with the same result, though. 

I then moved up to 5 yards and tried offhand with both of these loads. 

I’d say they are equal enough. 

In the grand scheme of things, I do with the front sight wasn’t leaning left. It ain’t a lot. But, apparently enough. In truth though, this isn’t a distance gun. More a plinker so, I’m decide with a little time if I was to address the lean. 

Overall, I am pleased with the gun. The weight ads to zero muzzle rise and recoil. The trigger job is sweet. The gun feels awesome in the hand. Overall, I’m a happy camper.

Congrats. I really like my (regular) Wrangler - and it shoots well. Even when I'm shooting it! I really need one of the bird's heads as well...
