376 Steyr stock getting close

I've got the inletting about 97% complete! A little more relief in the barrel channel and working on the stock/pad line, but it's near done.  Thought I'd throw some pics up for y'all to see the progress

not a ton of figure,  but good contrast and strong grain through the wrist which is needed on a lightweight hard kicker (looking to be just under 8lbs without scope so it'll be sub 9lbs all up hunting ready)

thanks guys! I'm still waiting on my card scrapers to show up in the mail so i can tune a few more spots, then it's time for sand, sand,  sand. 

originally this was supposed to be a synthetic stock and duracoat rifle,  but it fit into this stock so well In changing plans. Still likely to go with duracoat but I'll try a finish that comes out more matte blue copy than flat. 

Feeds like snot tires on an icey road. Dies and brass are on hand,  just need to pick a scope and get everything bedded.  I was modifying some Talley bases but now I might go with steel Leupold dove tails to add some extra needed weight
