If we had listened to that guy back then, we wouldn't have this problem now!

News reports that Putin is “running out of steam” both in cash/troops and public support at home.  Story this morning is that Ukraine is now shelling Russian territory.

And Russia is moving troops up from Georgia. Putin still has his nukes and chem weapons and doesnt give 2 poops about public support at home.
It's boring, and your lack of creativity knows no bounds.

Yep.  But like the Afghans it’s now quite clear to the world that he’s going to have to kill every able body Ukrainian if he is to take full control if this country.  Russia couldn’t to it in Afghanistan and I don’t think that’s going to happen in Ukraine.

Why not? Its a war of attrition, Russia has more bodies to throw at it and lots of places he can pull from and they already did it once in 1918. NATO has already said that they are hands off, and as per history, Georgia, Crimea, EG, no one will do anything. Putin still has chemical weapons and has used them (Just like Saddam did) recently. Blithering Biden says we will respond in kind, but we are not going to do any direct action in Ukraine and our nerve gas that we dont have anymore is in the southwest US. If Russia tactical nukes Ukraine forces, just exactly what is the US and NATO ready to do? Go all Fulda gap and roll tanks through Ukraine to some DMZ not yet defined?  Heck, if Russia takes Ukraine and Putin continues to follow through with his promise to reunite the USSR, and takes Latvia and Estonia, both NATO countries, is NATO and the US ready to take the next step?
If they are going to go in, the first thing that has to happen is every Boomer that Russia has has to be on the bottom of the ocean in the first 30 min. Then its WW3.

If the submarine boomers, on either side, aren't taken out right off the bat, everything else is pretty much moot.
