AR magazine well adapter for 9mm in 5.56 lower

I have a dedicated 9mm AR, BUT I also have a registered SBR and it would be cool every once in a while to converted it into a range toy by putting my Shorty 9m upper on it. Of course it's a 5.56/.223 lower and I've seen some adapters that sit inside the mag well and accept Glock or old style 9mm AR mags and that has made me curious. My only experience with them was an old Stag Arms 9mm pistol I bough many moons ago and it used old style mags and reliability was atrocious so I ended up selling it because it was so frustrating to deal with. Have they gotten any better? Does anyone here have any experience with those?

i got mine when you had your issues.
but i would just see whats still - left/survived - and go from there. My LGS/Gunsmith told me to make sure the mag was secure in the MW and that was the key to the problems. I just went by his experience and so far, no issue.
i know at one time there was the "oly" system and the "colt" system, if you know what the differences are that may help still.
and you may want to look at what uses what mags and whats has cheaper and available mags.
Do you know what system is your upper? Since that will play a difference on the MWA you can use.
fwiw, i got an OLY system and they have worked fine. The MWA i got for my 9 was made near OLY and they are no longer in business, but they use set screws to lock into place and there is a piece in front/back of the mag. It uses STEN mags and the OEM mag release, but you need to machine a notch into the mags.
good luck
