couple new ones

I'm behind about ... 13 acquired guns that haven't been posted. but here's 3.
Win m70 in 6mm TCU. It came on one of those awful hogue stocks, but I had a SA Lightweight stock i bought a few years ago on ebay. Lightweight vs Featherweight = same barrel channel but no schnaebel. The action dropped in for a perfect fit. Waiting on dies to arrive, still looking at load data. I need to check the twist rate, but either way this is the cool little deer/ antelope gun I've been wanting for a while.

Next up is a Winchester 54. Wanted one of these for a while, cane out of the same auction as the 6mm. Its been buggered up quite a bit, so no need to keep things original. As much as I want to keep it as a 270 WCF (1927, the model and cartridge were only 2 years old!) I also have 2 barrels that would screw in without issue, a shilen 30-06 #1 and an octagon 30-06. May need a new stock, I'll see what i can massage out of it.

lastly, a gorgeous, partially finished small ring kar 98 with a jc Higgins 30-06 barrel screwed in. The wood is amazing, steel still needs to be blued. My boss bought this at the Colorado Collectors Show we went to a few weeks back. Out of the 50 odd guns I bought, this is the only one i knew i was taking home no matter what. This will stay a 30-06

Powder wise I have a BUNCH in the typical 233 case burn rates
That 98 floats my boat ,
I'd screw a 6.5x55 barrel in it.

The M98 I bought because it's very light and the wood is gorgeous. It might get a new barrel, just can't think of what I would do with it.
