I was digging through the safe today and found one of my treasures. My grandmother would send us a check on our birthday with a note that said “buy something fun, beautiful, frivolous and just just for you. She grew up during the depression so she knew the value of these things. The last birthday check she sent had the same note with the card. At the time we lived in Ohio and I would frequent the Log Cabin Shop, a very cool black powder shop. One day there I found this for the exact amount my grandma sent me. It’s a Mowrey iron frame 32cal with possible the best wood I’ve seen. That was the last year my grandmother was alive. I was able to call her and tell her what I’d bought, she was happy. Every tome I look at this rifle I smile. 
Aim higher, or get a bigger gun.
