Good and bad times.

The good. The Taurus works wonderfully. Manageable with even full house 357 and the commiserate nuclear fireball. Seems to really like the Federal 120 grain 38 Special +p JHP. Off hand, one handed with call flier on the upper left 7 yards. Definite keeper. Well once I get the front fiberoptic sight put back. Went flying first shot, but I found it. LMBO. Yes ,the hostage is dead. It's what he gets for being downrange. (the black outline)

Love the action. Be nice if I could install an adjustable rear, but for bad breath ranges, not going to be an issue.

The bad. The Charter Arms needs to go back to the factory. One picture should be sufficient.
The action binds in BOTH single and double action especially bad when loaded. It did it a few times when I was dry firing. (Yes I had snap caps in it). I figured it might be just really tight and need to be broken in. But that isn't cool. Have to wiggle the cylinder to get the trigger to reset.

Cleaned the cylinder twice, checked all the screws, still does it. Going back to the factory to get fixed. Then I will test it's accuracy. Considering the action. It's not bad but once fixed, I'll do another shakedown. Seems to be decent enough but aggravating. How the heck did the factory let it leave like that?

Couple of cylinders of various ammo. CCI minimags, Federal, and some others.

Great to hear about the Taurus, suck about the CA…… they seem to be luck of the draw.

Have we seen any recently that didn’t need some fixin’?

Well too bad about the CA, I’m sure they’ll make it right.  Glad the Taurus delivered 👍

Yeah, CA……….I have 4 of them. Only one was trouble free. 🤬

That's weird about the CA - wife has 2 of them and they were perfect out of the box. But she bought them several years ago now. A Pathfinder and a .357 Mag Pug. Sounds like CA has taken Taurus's place in quality control. Big Chief is spinning in his grave...

I was hoping they both would be perfect or at least serviceable out of the box, but alas. Not so much. I trust that CA will make it right. Just really annoying especially when I just wanted a relaxing range day.

At least very happy with the 605 Poly. The only nitpicks are that the fiberoptic flew (really acrylic rod but meh, easily replaceable and I'd like it to match the CA as I like the green more than the red.

Round 5 the one closest to the grip is a bit harder to remove. Doesn't stick, just less clearance. Since I plan on using Bianchi speed strips and not speed-loaders as they lie flat in my pocket, that is less of an issue.

I was just going to say BigChief would not be happy, but I have been looking at that .357 myself.  Actually held one and uhmm uh uhm clears throat, liked it.  Balance, fit and finish was right on par with other revolvers to include Ruger.

^^^ That. While the action may not be QUITE as smooth as the Ruger, it's way better than I expected which is why I bought it. I like the shrouded hammer. I also like the FDE color for some reason. Maybe if someone says, "He pulled his gun."   Fine. What color is it? :)

DA and SA on crisp and light enough for close action.

Just ordered the Wolff spring kit that has good reviews for the Poly

CA has it. They texted me to say they will keep me in the loop on what happens.

What I find weird is they sent me a link to the return label. They said to mark the package as finished machine parts. Just can't sent it through usps if you do.

I think Taurus may be on the road to being a little better manufacturer then they have been in the past.  New factory I'm GA I think, closed the one in Miami.   Still some made in Brazil.  Not saying I will take a chance on one just yet but I'm more positive about them then in the past.
