Another from a friend - S&W .22 Mag

Another one I inherited from my friend who passed away is this S&W AirLite in .22 Mag.

A trick little gun and stupid lightweight!! Don’t know what exactly I’ll do with it. But, it might be good around the yard or for my mom or wife. Holds 7 rounds and accuracy at 10yrds ain’t bad for the first time shooting it. DAO, that bottom one got away from me.

Need to do some water jug testing and see what Rhodes bullets will actually do.
Good snake gun, none the less. I do have snake shot for it as well.

Well, there's an argument that I might ALMOST subscribe to. . .
If placement, then penetration are the two key factors. . .
. . .and diameter is a distant third priority that you take if you can get without sacrificing the other two. . .
. . .and a lot of .38 HP rounds suffer for penetration when shot through short barrels, while still giving fairly stout recoil out of lightweight guns. . .
. . .then a .22 Mag full of solids might well be pretty good for an SD option. It'll be faster on target and reliably dig deeper.

I disagree. A thunderchicken will slam openings shut and institute a duck and cover instincts and instant horizontal movement.
