Honestly, I see the "senile and chief" helping it get voted down. Dems in close mid-term races are, IMO. being hurt by crazy uncle joe, and aren't willing to back something that's 1) likely to fail and 2) probably going to hurt their chances of continuing feeding at the gov't trough

This is going to make for an interesting mid-term election.  We have perhaps THE two hot button issues (abortion and guns) making the front page at the same time driving those passionate on those issues to the polls.  Either the right will win and proceed to steal the freedoms of the left, or the left will win and proceed to steal the freedoms of the right.

Too bad our American political system has so many humans involved in it.  Otherwise, it would probably be pretty great.

Don’t know that it’ll go anywhere as history shows.  A lot of non progressive Dems are allergic to losing their seats over this.  Maybe some more executive orders that will be challenged by a gun friendly SCOTUS…

I think it's actually in our interest that the Dems immediate reaction to the Bruen ruling has been to pout, whine, gnash their teeth and pass EVEN MORE restrictive legislation.

If they want the Supreme Court to kick down even plainer language on the meaning of the Second Amendment and what the state and federal governments cannot do with regards to it, how they're behaving now is a GREAT way to make that come to pass.

Agreed.  For years I was telling my Democrat friends about their party’s true colors and intentions and they would argue with me.  Now they have nothing to say.  The emperor is naked…

5 Ds voted against the ban.  2 Rs voted for it. 1 of which is leaving office from NY. The other from PA which seems more blue every election. The Ds apparently want to get re-elected. 2 or 3 were from Texas. The surprise was an Oregon D.
