This started growing earlier this year, thought maybe it was corn!! Now I don't know maybe sorghum??

Those appear to be a fungus known as "Dead Man's  Fingers"..."Xylaria polymorpha"...not edible if you're  thinking about eating them...

I have no clue what those are, seeing as my knowledge/interest in flora stops at grass/shrub/tree level.  But it took me a while to open the thread because of praying/hoping it was not a medical question with personal pictures 😱
