Speaking of cleaners... Ultrasonic anyone?

I have one of the cheap Harbor freight 2.5 liter ones. It LOOKS identical to the LYMAN 7631700 that costs twice as much.

I use it to clean gun parts, AR BCGs and, with a change of solution, brass.
It doesn't make it "shiny" but it does do a better job of cleaning the inside and primer pockets.

Anyone else use one?

edited to add: I use the Hornady solutions for gun parts and brass

I’ve used one at work several times……never been impressed.

It did take the factory paint off a suppressor once. That really sucked.

When I was working with Gander Mountain the gunsmith had a big one that we used to clean trade-ins that were ultra grungy.  Did a good job and it was a hands off endeavor, take wood off, dunk and walk away.  But I’ve never really felt the need for one for myself.

The Agents at my wifes work had a large one for long guns.  The RAC invited me to use it anytime.  I stripped a 1911 and Sig P229  and put them in it, had some coffee and went and pulled everything out.  Dried each piece, lubed and their Sig Armorer watched  me put them back together and even gave me a few new parts.  For as long as it took I wasn't impressed. Of course I was appreciative and said how great it was.  The armorer informed me they never use it themselves and now that I did it was a justified purchase.
