    Probably all the snow upstate NY is getting! 

    A snowstorm in any other state wouldn't even make the news!!

    Yeah, upstate New York, Pennsylvania, etc… 
    For the past two days, I’ve seen update after update - more updates than the last hurricane..

    We are in Northern Lower Michigan about 45 minutes from the Lake Michigan shore...It started snowing here Wednesday afternoon  and did not stop until about an hour ago...We have an easy 16" of snow on the ground...
    Our family in lower Michigan got it far worse...daughter has 22 inches of snow and a niece a bit further south has 26...

    i do not know why the media is freaking out over lake effect snow in Buffalo, NY. 

    It happens all…the…time there. 4 feet of snow is not weird… it’s just Wednesday.

    I grew up on Lake Ontario in Rochester NY.  Snow to where we used a broom to find the car before shoveling was normal

    Over 5 feet of snow in Buffalo in two days. The football game with Cleveland was moved to Detroit. Fans helped the payer get to the airport to make the game. 

    It was bad.

    Where I am at now is just below the southern edge of the 'snow belt'. If the wind is coming from the N or NW we can get a few inches of lake effect.

    This system is more from the W, so we didn't see anything.
