Browning A-Bolt Medallion Range Report

I've been shooting a bunch of tacticool stuff lately and have had this Browning .243 Win collecting dust for a while. 

Time to fix that!

Found the load pretty quick then burned some more powder hunting for accuracy at higher velocities. Nope, 39 grains is the sweet spot. 

Rifle handles well and bolt is smooth. Trigger is pretty good for factory breaking clean at 3lb 9oz. 

Shot a group yesterday with bullets on top of each other then loaded some more and headed out today. Similar results easily under half MOA with a 2.5-8 scope.

I've zeroed quite a few A-Bolts in various chamberings. Every one of them was sub-MOA out of the box, with about half of them considerably better.

Very nice stock. The 243 seems to have been forgotten when the 6.5’s hit the market. Many years ago I was lucky enough to hunt plains game in Africa with my father, and our PH was a huge believer in the 243.
