Lead containing ammo ban?

So I stopped at my LGS today and was told that the ammo manufacturers have been federally mandated to stop producing shotgun sabots with lead in them per what the manufacturers rep told the owner of the shop, he was not sure how that applied to centerfire  rifle and handgun ammo or muzzleloaders, anybody else hear this?

IDK, he seemed concerned lead ammo was on its way out, like this next year, I thought maybe I missed some legislation, but I get plenty O’ updates from about anything gun related in my daily emails , thought I would see if the forum folks had heard anything

Yeah, he thought he had his shop sold and they day I talked to him the couple buying it had an argument so I don’t know where his head was at.

Legislators never crease to amaze me.

Promoting answers to questions never asked.

Sadly very few if any have gone to DC or Austin (pick you state capitol) and not fell under the influence of lobbyist, moneyed individuals, long term contemporaries (think legislative lifers).

In July of 2022 U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service started to move forward on banning lead ammunition on individual refuge units in the coming years. Many states, including Arizona, California, and Colorado, have been moving to a partial, if not a complete, ban on lead ammunition.
