I've got a lower, trigger, lower parts kit, grip and probably some other small bits but just haven't been inspired to do anything new with an AR pattern rifle / pistol lately.

I'm sure something will pop up that I have to to have caliber / upper wise...

Trigger, try a Larue MBT if you’re in the market for a great 2 stage. Best you can get for the money. $89. Tool steel. If you order 3, they’re $79 each. Just order 3 and replace a few triggers that need replacing or keep a spare for future builds.  I’m not affiliated with them in any way. Just like those triggers for a 2 stage. And they’re made in Texas… If you’ve ever used a Rock River NM 2 stage, this is a better trigger and priced better.

The rifle is complete and I'm  not displeased with the result...
Jay....I ordered the MBT trigger from LaRue...couldn't be more pleased with it...easily the equal of the Rock River...possibly better...Thanks for the heads up!

To be clear, the LaRue trigger is not a Geissele.  Geissele = $200+ easily. Awesome trigger. But, LaRue=$80….
Btw, PSA has been selling the Geissele SSA, and SSA-E triggers for $149 recently.   Still expensive,  but not $200.

I don't see any pictures in this thread.....seems like this is all just hypothetical.

You're absolutely right! No pic, No gun! Just a fantasy.

Who is collecting all of these fines? Do we have enough for a pizza party???

They won't admit it, but fines pay for the hot tub and swedish models in the mod cave

Ok, to Parry on to what Jay had to say about the LaRue trigger:
I now have personal experience with one. I’ve used his now.

It’s pretty darn nice for an $85 trigger. I think it’s a little heavier than the Geissele trigger which is my go to for personal guns. But, it’s half the price!!!  Do I think the Geissele is 2x better?!?  I think that’s a personal opinion. Depends on what you’re after in the weight department. And without scaling the LaRue, I can’t give a proper weight comparison.
As to being a damn good improvement over factory…….Hell yeah!!!  It’s a very nice $85 trigger.
I wouldn’t have a problem putting one in my gun.
Ain’t giving up my Geisseles. But, I now have another option as needed.

Guess I overlooked this thread and missed this. Glad you like it. In my experience, they get better with use. As you wear in and polish the surfaces with use, they start to feel better. They really are a hard trigger to beat for the price.

    Good times!

Zee made a great shot on that ‘yote, from an improvised prone position sprawled out on the roof of my buddie’s UTV. 🤣 He was standing up in the back for a better view trying to spot javelina for us when he saw the yote. From my position, I couldn’t see it. So I handed my rifle to him and he dropped the yote where it stood. Great shot. The 168 grain A-Max definitely did its job. We didnt range it, but I expect it was just a touch over 100 yards.

My thoughts on the MBT trigger still are, very nice trigger for the money. There are better triggers, no doubt. But LaRue triggers perform much better than the price.

Fwiw, the rifle in that post is my creation.. 308 Win, Aero Precision upper and lower, LaRue trigger that I have at 2.5 lb first stage, 2 lb second stage. Ground Zero Precision barrel, SLR adjustable gas block, Trinity Force handguard, Primary Arms 4-14x44 ACSS FFP scope. It shoots….

    Oh, obviously it’s “quieted.”

It was nice!  Very similar to my personal LR-308.
First time using the LaRue trigger and a Primary Arms scope.
Gas block was adjusted perfectly. Brass fell within a horizontal foot (approx) of the rifle!
