Remington does it again

Another cartridge without rifle ammo to match. I understand they want to fill the needs of straight wall case states, but couldn't they find a caliber you can get bullets for?

Guess the .350 Legend isn't enough.

Can we just cut off a .308 case at the required length for "straightwall states", retaining it's already standard .473" bolt face, reduce the body taper enough to accept a .458" (jacketed) to .460" (cast) diameter bullets, put it in any number of actions that already exist, and be done with this silliness?

Then again, the .45-70 is already "Legend" enough. . .

Belted magnum brass cut down to 1.800" is about perfect for a .458" bullet.  .30-06/.308 brass cut down to 1.8" takes a .430" bullet well.  As Zee pointed out the .430 SJS.

As per usual, Remington is late to the game and tries to copy Winchester's homework.
