I don’t like the barrel length.
And I’m flush with .308 Win SPs.

Aim higher, or get a bigger gun.

I'm mildly interested, but not for what will probably be $800 street price. Bring back the Striker for $500-$750 or so and I'll likely cave, especially if 7mm08 is an option.

Yeah, the Striker is a nice pistol. I bet even Zee would be tempted to own that Savage. I have one in 22-250 that's literally a blast to shoot.

Yeah, I want one of those.

I think the aluminum chassis might be a compelling reason for springing for the extra $$$.

Ernie could be enabled, he has not bought a gun in awhile ;)

You are going to convince Ernie to buy an out of the box commercial Specialty Pistol in .308?!?!?!?  Good luck with that.  :D

    I vote @Zee buying a Savage.

IF it was a left hand side bolt, then I would agree.

My goodness, it has been a long week. Color me interested in the .308.

Honestly, when it first came out, I was initially piqued. Even put one on my Bud’s Wish List.
But, reason prevailed, and I passed.

It has everything I’d generally enjoy in an SP. and, had I not already had two so chambered, I might have even overlooked the 10” barrel. Maybe. But, as such…….not worth the price for me.

Actually the more I read I'm not sure it would meet the very specific niche I'm trying to fill (lightweight and compact mountain hunting gun). Dressed out it looks like it will only be about 1# lighter than my 24" 7mm RM.

Probably more suited to a first time SP buyer like me than guys like Ernie and you.
