Worst movie I’ve seen in a long time…

Beast, with Idris Elba on Prime.  That’s a couple of hours of my life I’ll never get back.  The plot idea seemed interesting and has a 4 star rating.  Well I found myself rooting for the lion hoping he’d kill them all 🤣🤣

In typical Hollywood fashion the main character passes up on picking up multiple GUNS in favor of finally fighting the lion with a small knife in his hands.  The only time he does finally pick up a gun he fires three shots into the ground without aiming!!!!

This movie shows you a collection of the dumbest characters I’ve ever watched on screen and a dumbass with ZERO survival skills as the hero.  STUPID at its finest.  Please pass it over.

Single father with two daughters go to Africa.  Meets a friend who is friends and plays around with wild lions (first line of stupid movie BS that gets people killed in real life).  Angry male lion seeking revenge on poachers hunts every human in his path.  Dad, daughters and the lion tamer all get into trouble out of sheer stupidity, lion tries to kill them, they give lion every opportunity to do so because they lack any survival skills or common sense but lion fails, dad fights lion with bare hand and tiny knife AND LIVES, friendly lions kill bad lion, dad’s a hero??? 😵‍💫

    LORD…

    You could tell in the trailers that the CGI on the lions was crap..... Jurassic Park had better effects in 1993.

    I saw on the internet that Mr. Alba is a superb actor.

    One level above claymation…

    I wish they had used real lions.  They would have made a much more entertaining but quite shorter film 🤣

    I spent 4 hours cleaning the list when Concho Kid asked me to.  It’s MASSIVE!!!!!  And I think they restored some of it back…. Let’s test… ****, bitch… ****

    It was 4 hours I pissed away… they added a bunch of the words back…

    How would you rate Beast on the Twilight scale, better or worse?

    I'll stick to watching Cujo, helpless child, meek mother in a crappy car with a 150 lb rabid St. Bernard, with no brandy, hanging around outside.... Terrifying!  :D

    Even worse than the Twilight movies.  At least my wife and 12 yea old daughter (at the time) liked those…

    Now that's bad...

    I think you wouldn't been better off watching Cocaine Bear.

    This new movie Beast reminds me of another movie about lions eating people in Africa called Prey with Peter Weller and Bridget Moynahan.
    At least this movie was watchable and they used real lions.

    Hollyweird manages to do the "woke" thing on everything these days.  Very very few good movies anymore.

    Seems like during Covid the studios transitioned to lower budget films and mass production of movies with casts consisting of one “established” actor surrounded by a bunch of unknowns, all of them so how pushing “woke” agendas.

    There’s scads of “new” movies with guys like Bruce Willis, Nicolas Cage and Mel Gibson made in 2020-21-22 that are basically unwatchable and should be considered embarrassing for A Listers.  Wife and I love movies but are REALLY tired of being disappointed, film after film.

    Sorry- I watched Cocaine Bear with the kiddo on opening day in the theater, and I laughed my ass off and enjoyed the show.
