Magtech FD and S&B XRG Ammo Similarity

Sellier & Bellot is now a subsidiary of Magtech CBC that used to market monolithic CHP ammo called First Defense and First Defense Justice for PD that they discontinued due to high manufacturing cost and low public interest, or so I was told by a MagtechUSA representative. It was very accurate, reliable, and potent.

A very similar monolithic CHP product is now being marketed by Sellier & Bellot called XRG in .380, 9x19, .40 S&W, 10mm, and .45 ACP. The cases are not nickel plated and the bullets are not washed with zinc as were the earlier FDJ line of ammo, but they are just as accurate, reliable, and deliver the same terminal performance when discharged from barrels longer than 3", because they require higher velocity than lead core projectiles to properly expand. (My personal experience.)
