That's ridiculous.  Anything beyond 3-4 months is just ridiculous.  For that matter, the entire requirement is ridiculous IMO.

They're really popular today, meaning increased time.  I've got two cans and the last one I got was about 11 years ago, took 4 months or so because I was already in the system.  I think they'll be legal in a year or so.
