Range day!

It was a mixed bag today. It is always awesome having a range day with Sako, always. I took the Charger and the 1885 low wall. Well, the charger is a stupid gun and accurate little pistol! After a few rounds to get on golf all sized balls at 100 yards, it was a a super fun ammo burner! That is a fun pistol/range gun! The rifle scope is a bit to get use to, a bit of gymnastics but doable. Like Tom said it was WINDY not rip the target backers off the frame, but windy nonetheless. It will get a pistol scope or an optic of some sort.

Now for the 1885. Sigh. Trigger is good, the tang sight is great. Front sight is too tall, 12” low at 25 yards tall… now the bad. The firing pierced the cartridge, it was universal using 3 different brands of ammo. But it did stack rounds on top of each other! It will have to go back to Taylor’s….. ugh…..
Thanks for the picture Tom!

Great day! You notice how he's holding onto that pistol with both hands, yeah it was that much fun to shoot he was nervous to let it go :#

That is our local range. Those tables are great. Northern Colorado Rod and Gun Club. Don’t be fooled though the only water there is what you bring with you!

Paper targets are OK for sighting in, but there's nothing like the sound of a .40+ size lead slug making the gong sing at 200+ yards. Just try and wipe the smile off my face!!  B)
